We’re here to build something that will be around for a long time. We're not here to make a quick buck. This means we’ll pick what works over what's new. We're patient and deliberate. We’re skipping shady hacks or dark patterns and instead build with transparency, honesty and integrity.
When building complex systems, it’s crucial to understand things down to the tiniest detail. Only this way we can build something that meets our standards. This does mean that initially things can take a bit more time. But we’re not in a hurry.
In software, and especially when you’re building with VC money, doing something because it’s fun or because you care about quality is often scrapped. Speed is more important. Which is also why we’re ending up with shitty products, impossible pricing models and annoying bugs that don’t get fixed.
Instead, quality is all that counts. From architecture that allows offline-first to implementing the tiniest detail in the IMAP specification, delightful animations and thoughtful writing—it’s what makes us fall in love with companies and products, and it’s what we are pouring into Cirrux.
