Setup
For Mac, iPhone and iPad users, we recommend using a configuration file to set up Cirrux. This file contains all the details you need to set up your mailbox, calendar, contacts and reminders.
You can download this configuration file from the Passwords tab of your mailbox in Settings, then Mailboxes. On a Mac, click macOS configuration. See our step-by-step guide for Mac. For an iPhone or iPad, click iOS set up on your computer and scan the QR code with the device, or open the same tab on the device itself and tap iOS configuration. Each device needs its own profile.
App Passwords
To connect third-party apps like Thunderbird or Outlook, you need an app-specific password. Your main account password cannot be used for IMAP, SMTP, or CalDAV connections. You can create app passwords in your mailbox settings: select your mailbox, open the Passwords tab, and click New app password. The password is only shown once. If you don’t see a Passwords tab, connecting external apps has been turned off for your workspace.
